• The market for stand-alone systems will grow from 2006 to 2009, before falling slightly in 2010. By then, intrusion prevention will be a standard feature of firewalls and other network security equipment.

Application Firewalls

• Application layer attacks are increasing - 9 in 2003, 17 in 2004, 59 in 2005 & 34 through May 2006 (on track for 81 this year) – Forrester June 2006

DNS / DHCP
